Initial results of Mayoral and Assembly races in the 2012 CBJ municipal election (Mikko Wilson / KATH-TV)

Initial results are in for the 2012 Juneau municipal election. Some races are too close to call until absentee and questioned ballots are counted on Friday, however the results of regular voting as of Tuesday evening with all 13 precincts reporting are as follows:

Voter Turnout: 25.4%
Registered Voters: 24,565
Ballots cast: 6,231

Mayor
Merrill Sanford: 3,334
Cheryl Jebe: 2,674
Write-In: 25

Assembly District 1
Loren Jones: 3,223
Paul Nowlin: 1,934
