Tuesday was the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year for the northern hemisphere, which means the dark nights are now getting shorter. And bringing light to these dark nights are the winter holiday lights that appear around town in the fall, and often stay up until spring. We took our camera out to bring you some of the displays from around town.
The lights are not only beautiful, but they also serve another purpose: To help guide Santa to town as he makes his rounds Christmas Eve night. And as he does, NORAD is once again tracking his journey around the world; just click the link below to track Santa's progress.
Happy holidays from all of us here at NBC for Southeast Alaska!
