The Regulatory Commission of Alaska approved AEL&P's request for an interim refundable rate hike of 20% across-the-board for electricity prices in Juneau. The Substantive Order dated July 14th was posted on the RCA's website Friday July 17th and went into effect immediately. Should the RCA ultimately rule for a permanent rate increase for AEL&P that is lower than the approved interim rate; AEL&P will be required to refund any difference in the rate.

The entire order can be viewed at the link below.
